Our policies vary to respect the individual boat owners we work with.
See your specific policy below. We do our best to work with boat owners and clients to help create fair and safe cancelations
and tour termination policies, by paying your deposit you accept all terms, and cancelations of our charters.

CANCELLATION FOR BOATS CHARTERS AND CATAMARAN TOURS: * WEATHER 

In case of bad weather, you will be advised by our staff in advance of your tour regarding the weather in some cases your tour may be canceled by the port or captain due to high winds, rough seas or heavy rain, in this case you may change the date or cancel the tour without penalty. Our Port Captain is the first official authority to make a weather call on safety. Our Captain is who commands on the vessels and also make make a weather call.

In the case of cloudy weather and / or light rain there is no reason for cancellation, the tropics has variable weather patterns, it may rain next to you and not on you, or it may rain for two hours and then pass thru. and all cancellations of tours are only decided by our captains and the port caption of the marina. The client agrees to these cancelation terms.

Modifications to your booking: If you need to change by adding or reducing people on your tour we require 5  days advance notice, to remove them from the tour and or to add them to the food and beverage order. Less than 3 days we cannot and will not add or detract from your booking.

Any change in dates, destination, or yacht type by the Client is considered a cancellation. If any scheduled payment by the Client has not been received by the payment due date, we reserve the right to cancel the tour and retain all deposits and fees paid to date.

REFUNDS

The following restrictions apply for CANCELATIONS- DATE CHANGES made by you as a client.
– Up to 14 days before charter, 10% penalty on the total tour value.
– Less than 14 days prior to charter, deposit is now non-refundable.

PAYMENTS

* At Check In we accept cash, cash app and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard. AMEX). If you pay the balance by credit card, please note that a commission for a bank transaction of 5% will be added.

PRICE CHANGES

Our prices on un booked items such as extra people, transportation, food upgrades and even boats will change. We will be happy to requote any items not booked in your original booking at the current rate. We will not hold any rate except by express written agreement with our sales manager.

ILLNESS OR INQUIRY

The client accepts full personal liability for any accident, illness, or inquiry sustained to him/her or any member of the group. releasing Riviera Maya Catamarans from any liability.

TERMINATION OF TOUR

Our boats do not allow, hookah or any open flame smoking instruments. We do not allow any illegal substances to be consumed, smoked, or ingested while on board. If you disregard any of these policies you forfeit the tour and any refund and will be returned to the dock.

Violence. We have a 100% no violence policy Which includes verbal threats of violence or harm. The safety of our captain, crew, and clients is 100% the most important policy to us. If anyone breaks the policy of violence onboard our vessels we will immediately terminate the tour without notification or consultation and we will return to port where such actions may result in contacting the legal authorities.

This vessel offers “Nautical Experiences” including culinary experience, top-shelf bar, chef on board, highly-trained-crew service, along with other amenities and gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea. 

We do sell snorkel tours or specific itineraries.  

We are committed to providing the most incredible experience of your life, on board one of our vessels in the beautiful Caribbean.

This being so, by booking with us you are hereby aware of and agree to the following:

During the reservation process, you are able to select a vessel from our fleet, however, a change in vessel might occur without prior notice up until boarding. 

A change of vessel does not affect the “Nautical Experience” you are booking with us. 

If the new vessel provided has a higher price, you will not be charged extra. 

If the new vessel provided has a lower price, we will adjust the price and you will be charged the corresponding amount.

WEATHER CONDITIONS 

The weather in the Caribbean changes frequently. In the event that you see a weather forecast indicating a cloudy day with wind or rain, this is no grounds for concern.

The reasons are as follows:

First of all, most meteorological systems give incorrect forecasts in the area due to the fact that the climate is very changeable in the Riviera Maya. 

We are experts in navigation, and we are informed of weather updates at all times through different sources. If anyone is able to determine whether a tour will take place, it is us. We will inform you if the weather is unsuitable for the experience.

Where it may be raining or cloudy at your hotel, some 20 minutes away, it could be sunny at the marina. The climate changes in different areas of the Riviera Maya.

It is usually always sunnier at sea than on land. It may be cloudy or drizzling on land, but once the boat goes out to the sea the conditions change and everyone can enjoy the sun.

Just outside the marina in Puerto Aventuras, we have a huge advantage in that there is a protected area with beautiful sandbanks, where we can take you and anchor up in case of high winds. This way, you get to enjoy the yacht, bar, and swimming activities, and still have an amazing experience.

Yachting in the Caribbean, even on a rainy day, is a wonderful experience, as the sea temperature never changes. Swimming, chatting, and having fun on a sandbank in the middle of the sea is a magical experience, even in the rain. If this happened to be the case, you can rest assured that it will be worth every single minute.

REASONS WE WILL NOT ACCEPT FOR CANCELATION 

If it is raining or cloudy where guests are staying, or at the marina.        

If the weather is not nice: if it starts to rain, if it gets cloudy, if it is too hot or too cold, if there are waves, it is a windy day, or if you are unable to do the snorkeling activity.                                 

If the port of Playa del Carmen or Puerto Aventuras is closed (In this case you can enjoy your chosen Experience inside the beautiful Bocana Bay approx 5 min from our Marina. A secure and safe bay to enjoy the experience.

If someone gets seasick or dizzy during the tour.

If the trip ends early, due to illness or at the request of the client.

If we run out of any kind of drink or food due to unusually high consumption.

If due to the negligence of the client, he or she suffers any type of accident.

If there is any disagreement with the service during the experience.

If there is any disagreement from the client regarding the safety regulations of the boat during the experience.

 

REASONS FOR CANCELATION

If the owner of the vessels or the captain considers that there is a minimum safety and security risk due to weather conditions, we will try to reschedule the experience to another day. 

If this is not possible due to the availability of vessels or our client’s agenda, we can provide a voucher valid for 1 year, or a full refund.

If for any unfortunate reason, such as an unexpected maintenance issue, there are no available vessels on the date of the experience we will try to reschedule the experience to another day. If this is not possible due to the availability of vessels or our client´s agenda, we can provide a voucher valid for 1 year, or a full refund.

If a flight is canceled from the country of origin due to bad weather a full refund may be applicable. The client must send full proof of such cancellation.

REFUND POLICY FOR CUSTOMER CANCELATION

If the cancellation is more than 30 days prior to the experience, 80% will be refunded.

If the cancellation is between 15 and 30 days prior to the experience, 50% will be refunded.

If the cancellation is less than 15 days prior to the experience, there will be no refund.

If the client does not show up on the day of travel, we will charge 100% of the tour and there will be no refund or changes.

If the client is late at the indicated check-in and boarding time, the lost time will not be will not replace or be refunded. The tour starts on time and ends on time.

In case the client wishes to reschedule her activity, she may reschedule or change the date up to 12 hours before the tour with a 30% penalty plus the price update. Any violation of these points can be cancellation of the trip without the right to any type of refund:
